The Cleaning Process

Firstly we prepare the entire area by removing large weeds and removing all rubbish. If needed a fungicidal wash is then applied, eliminating weeds & moss. We also break down severe stains such as oil and grime on the surface. The area is then cleaned using a very high powered washer and scrubber. The appropriate technology for the job ensures a deep surface clean, removing any remaining grime, moss and weeds etc. The design of the system protects your valuable flower beds and plants from being damaged.

After the initial clean any visible stains on the paving become evident, and can be treated with the appropriate method of removal. This is done with the greatest care, ensuring no damage is caused to the surrounding gardens and flower beds.

 

 

 

 

Any agreed remedial repair work is actioned at this point. Any weed killing operations are now performed, leaving the surface to dry before the next stage.

When the blocks are dry, any displaced sand in the joints is filled with fine kiln dried sand. We recommend an application of sealer is applied to the paving at this point. This will restore and bring out the original colours of the blocks, protecting them against further stains and bonding the sand firmly into the joints forming a tough barrier. Sealed drives inhibit weed growth, are oil resistant, stain resistant and protect and preserve the surface.

The sealers are available in a Semi-Matt finish and when dry, harden to protect the jointing sand, thus protecting the sub-base from being eroded and your driveway sinking resulting in future costly repairs. Most operations are completed during a single site visit. Applying Kiln dried sand and sealing may require a return visit, dependant on the local weather conditions.
